Reservations

Reservations allow users to reserve devices for single or reoccurring time slots (daily, weekly, and monthly). The reservation page displays upcoming reservations and can be filtered by the following:

  1. Date range: From/To
  2. Device
  3. Users

To filter through reservations:

  1. Select the appropriate data from the filter fields.
  2. Click the apply filter button or refresh the page.

Create a Reservation

Any user with the reservation entitlement can create a reservation. To create a reservation through the Reservation page:

  1. Click the Create button.
  2. On the New Reservation page, select a device.
  3. To create a repeat reservation, select the option from the Repeats dropdown menu. Depending on the selection (daily, weekly, or monthly), repeat options will prompt for further repeat information.
  4. Select a Start Date, Start time, and End time. For repeat reservations, select an end date and click Create.

Once the reservation is created, only the user who created the reservation has access to the device, regardless if the device is in-use or not. To release the device during the reserved time, on the device's details page, click the Release button.

Cancel a Single Reservation

To cancel a single reservation:

  1. On the reservation row, click Cancel.
  2. On the Cancel Reservation dialog, click Yes.

Cancel a Repeat Reservation

To cancel a repeat reservation:

  1. On the reservation row, click Cancel.
  2. On the Cancel Reservation dialog, select one of the following options:
    • Occurrence: will delete a single occurrence of a repeat reservation.
    • Series: will delete the entire series of a repeat reservation.

NOTE: To avoid scheduling conflicts, GigaFox will alert users of any reservation overlaps and not allow the attempted reservation to be made.
