Amazon Device Setup

Amazon devices run on a custom version of Android. To test Amazon devices, developer options must be enabled and a few settings need to be changed.

Enable Developer Options

1. Open the Settings application.
2. Select Security.
3. Turn on Enable adb.

Allow Installation

1. Open the Settings application.
2. Select Device.
3. Turn on Allow Installation of Application from unknown devices.

Screen Timeout

1. Open the device's Settings application.
2. Select Sound & Display > Screen Timeout.
3. Click Never.

Adjust Screen Brightness

To help reduce battery usage without affecting the deviceViewer display:

1. Open the device's Settings application.
2. Select Sound & Display.
3. Set the brightness slider to the lowest setting.
